FAQs

Frequently asked questions

HOW LONG DOES AN A/C CLEAN TAKE?

Our standard booking duration is set for 45 minutes per A/C unit. However, please be aware that the cleaning time may vary between 30 and 60 minutes per A/C unit based on individual requirements.

DO WE NEED TO DO ANYTHING BEFORE OUR A/C CLEAN?

In preparation for your clean, please ensure there is approximately 1 metre of space below or in front of the A/C units (enough room to fit a ladder). If you require assistance moving larger items, Steve will help move them on arrival. If there are items that cannot be moved (i.e. wall-mounted television under a/c unit) that is fine, appropriate drop-sheets and covers are used during the clean to avoid the item.

wHAT IS THE PRICE?

We charge a flat rate of $75 per a/c unit.
No hidden charges, regardless of whether it is a split system or box unit, and no call-out fee.

dO YOU OFFER MULTIPLE A/C UNIT DISCOUNTS OR CASH RATES?

We do our best to keep our price fair and affordable, priding ourselves on being one of the most affordable and thorough a/c cleaning services in the Cairns region. For this reason, we don't offer discounts or package rates on multiple A/C units, or cash rates.

wHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We collect payment upon completion of your A/C cleans. We accept cash, EFTPOS, PayID and bank transfers.
We can also provide invoices with 7 day accounts upon request.

DO YOU WORK WEEKENDS or outside school hours?

We operate exclusively from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and do not offer weekend services. When scheduling appointments, we ensure they fall within our operating hours to complete air conditioning cleans efficiently. For instance, we won't schedule appointments for multiple A/C cleans starting late in the afternoon, as it may exceed our operating hours and compromise service quality.

WHAT DOES YOUR A/C CLEAn INCLUDE?

Our Full Hydro Clean includes a chemical hydroflush; Coils, casing, filters, blower fan, airwell and drain pan clean; Sanitisation & mould removal.

WHAT TYPE OF A/C UNITS DO YOU CLEAN?

We offer A/C cleaning services for split system units and box/window units.
We do not clean duct, cassette or portable air conditioning systems.

DO YOU CLEAN THE OUTDOOR CONDENSOR UNIT ASWELL?

We do not perform cleaning on outdoor condenser units. The outdoor units are designed to endure external elements and generally require less frequent maintenance. Routine care and periodic maintenance are usually adequate for optimal outdoor unit performance. Cleaning is advised typically in instances of noticeable dirt accumulation or reduced efficiency. Should you suspect that your outdoor unit requires cleaning in addition to the indoor unit, we recommend seeking the expertise of a licensed HVAC technician.

HOW LONG SHOULD I RUN MY A/C AFTER OUR CLEAN?

We recommend running your air conditioning unit for at least 20 minutes after your clean. This helps ensure that the system circulates the newly cleaned air and stabilizes its performance. Additionally, running the unit allows for any residual cleaning agents or moisture to be expelled, contributing to a more efficient and comfortable indoor environment.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET MY A/C CLEANED?

For regular use of your A/C system, we recommend scheduling professional cleaning services approximately every 12 months. However, if your A/C operates continuously, such as in cases of 24/7 usage, we advise more frequent cleanings, typically every 6-9 months. This proactive maintenance schedule ensures optimal efficiency, extends the lifespan of your equipment, and maintains high indoor air quality. Regular cleanings contribute to a healthier and more comfortable living or working environment.

DO YOU OFFER A/C SERVICES, MAINTENENCE OR REPAIRS?

We do not provide servicing, maintenance, or repair services.
For these specific needs, we strongly recommend consulting a licensed HVAC technician.

WHAT IF MY A/C UNIT IS LEAKING?

If your A/C is leaking, we strongly advise against our cleaning service for leaking units. Cleaning alone may not address the underlying cause of the leak and could potentially worsen the situation. We do not take responsibility for leaking air conditioners, as our expertise lies in cleaning rather than diagnostics or repairs. For leaking A/C units, we recommend seeking the services of a licensed HVAC technician who can accurately diagnose and address the issue during their maintenance procedures.

WHY DOES MY A/C UNIT SMELL BAD?

The presence of unpleasant odors in your A/C unit may stem from various factors. Common causes include microbial growth on the evaporator coils or in the ductwork, stagnant water in the drain pan, or a dirty air filter. These conditions can lead to the circulation of musty or moldy odors. To address this issue, we recommend scheduling a Full Hydro Clean with us. Our expertise in thorough indoor A/C cleaning can help eliminate odors, improve indoor air quality, and ensure the optimal performance of your system. If the issue persists or worsens, consulting with a licensed HVAC technician may be necessary to identify and remedy any underlying problems within the unit.

MY A/C ISN’T WORKING PROPERLY, WILL A CLEAN FIX IT?

If your A/C isn't working properly, a cleaning service alone may not be the solution. In fact, attempting to clean a malfunctioning unit can potentially exacerbate underlying issues. We strongly advise against cleaning units with known issues. Instead, we recommend consulting with a licensed HVAC technician to diagnose and address any operational problems your A/C may be experiencing. Their expertise ensures a comprehensive evaluation and appropriate resolution for optimal system functionality.

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes. While we understand there may be some confusion surrounding our recommendations for licensed HVAC technicians in certain situations, we want to assure you that we are fully insured. Our commitment to professionalism extends to ensuring that we are adequately covered for any unforeseen circumstances that may arise during our services. While air conditioner cleaning itself doesn't require a specific license, we prioritize safety and accountability by maintaining comprehensive insurance coverage.
